Sorry to go all straightforward on you all, but my friend Helen is looking for a third housemate for her shared house in Bermondsey - and really one can hardly imagine a nicer person to share a place with - so here are the details. Alas, no picture.

HOUSE SHARE: We are looking for someone to join our house in Bermondsey, sharing with two females - one works in public affairs the not-for-profit sector and the other is a departmental press officer.

The property (non-smoking) is about three years old and everything is in good condition. It’s a three bedroom house with the living area on the ground floor and one bedroom on each of the three floors above it. The room is a good-sized double bedroom with an ensuite (toilet, sink and power shower. The shared living area is all wood flooring and consists of a large living room with an open plan kitchen, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer and gas hobs.

It’s less than 10 minutes walk (down well-lit main road) to Bermondsey tube station (zone 2).

A shopping centre is close by and the bus back from the shops stops right opposite the house. The house is also opposite Southwark Park which is really nice in the summer (Chas n’ Dave played there last year and The Proclaimers the year before that but don’t let that put you off) and there are some good pubs close by along the Thames. Night buses from Central London stop by the tube station so it’s fairly easy to get home late at night and there’s also a taxi firm on the corner of the road.

Rent is £110 per week or £476.67 pcm (not incl.bills). Six weeks’ deposit also required. The room is available from the first weekend in May and ideally needs to be filled by the 5th (though we can be flexible for right person!)
Here’s a map with the exact location.

There are no poets living in the house as yet but I think maybe they could use one. If you’re interested please contact Helen at helnewton2@yahoo.co.uk
