beware the little cuttlefish

I am wondering why so very many people have suddenly washed up on the shores of Baroque in the past two days, following Google searches on “cuttlefish.” I mean, I know it is because they are googling cuttlefish and I wrote a blog post about the Cuttlefish Poetry and Poetics blog – but why are they googling?

I admit also to a certain unease, as so many of the pages that come up in response to such a search seem to feature things like “cuttlefish risotto.” Ouch!

Oh dear :/

And now, to bed: under my new yellow striped duvet, in my room with my new Ercol armchairs and rug and vintage French linen curtains. Leftover mushroom risotto for lunch tomorrow, very nice (though I don’t recommend Tesco’s fresh chicken stock. Flavourless). But no violence has been committed along the seafood chain: there’s not a single disembowelled cuttlefish in sight.

  1. I was *told* there would be cuttlefish tortellini.

  2. Oh my GOD! Hey, great to see you. (You’ve just reminded me how really excellent your blog is.)

    Tortellini. I just don’t know.
