Dear Katy
Judging from a recent article in The Bookseller, Salt is still not out of the financial forest and the Just One Book Campaign only raised about 30 grand. What I still completely fail to understand is why Carcanet gets 123 grand a year from the Arts Council when Salt gets nothing. If the Arts Council doesn’t reverse its perverse decision not to support Salt, then this time next year there will be dozens more homeless poets in our society.
