not being there

Garfield Minus Garfield. It’s a genius idea, really, isn’t it? I always thought Garfield was about a hundred times more irritating even than Snoopy at his very worst (though thinking about it they might be about the same amount of irritating. But once you get him out of the picture it’s like Calvin & Hobbes meets Sartre. In fact, the site even describes itself as “dedicated to removing Garfield from the Garfield comic strips in order to reveal the existential angst… a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression…”

Anyway, I’m at work. I’m in town! This post has published itself. (Spoo-oooooo-ky…) I suppose my house currently feels the same way about me as this strip feels about its cat: Baroque Minus Baroque.

Have a great day guys. And get off my blog!

  1. You get off my blog first, you …. you …. remote blogger!

Why are none of your posts about me? Goodness, I could almost be neglected.

Neglected in my own time. Now that’s existential angst right there, on the nose.

  2. Jane, who knows – maybe one day I’ll write a post just about YOU…

  3. That would make a nice short blog entry, wouldn’t it?
